International Work Group

Welcome to the International Work Group

Come together, work together, learn together, develop together!

We have formed an international, English-speaking work group that is open to experienced controllers and consultants from all countries.

The language of the Work Group is English.

ICV members (exclusively) with at least 5 years of professional experience as controllers and consultants, as both groups are regarded as (internal) consultants in the company. Controllers should increasingly work as internal consultants in the company. This is to be professionalized in the Work Group.

Every year, a company (target company) is analyzed in order to provide it with ideas, suggestions and proposals (but not holistic management consulting) for modern management in all areas of the company. More than 50% of our ideas and solutions have been implemented.

We have already had the pleasure of working with:

2015 Nomaxtrading from Piekary Śląskie in Upper Silesia, Poland
2016 LUG Light factory in Zielena Góra in Lower Silesia, Poland
2017 MDM in Ljubljana, Slovenia
2018 AutoDOC in Berlin, Germany
2019 TUSGsal in Badalona near Barcelona, Spain
2023 York in Poznan, Poland
2024 Schwarzmann in Ljubljana, Slovenia and
2025 Zbych-Pol & Mobet, Mogilno, Poland

ADVANTAGES OF WORKING WITH US

Companies from all European countries can apply for this support from the ICV and receive benefits that are usually very costly:
– Opening up new perspectives for innovative solutions
– Learning from the experience of an international team of experienced experts in the field of controlling and consulting

Apart from the hotel, conference rooms and catering, there are no costs for the company. If several applications are received, ICV company members have priority.

The final decision on the target company is made by the management team of the work group.
A brief summary of the results of the work group is published on the ICV website in consultation with the target company.

YOUR COMPANY CAN BENEFIT FROM US IN THESE AREAS

The members of the International Work Group can help you find solutions or at least provide information to answer the following questions, for example:

Country knowledge

– What should we do to start production in a new country XYZ?
– What is the best way to set up a (sales) company in XYZ?
– What taxes do we have to pay in XYZ?
– Which products should we start with in XYZ?

Reporting / Controlling

– Which key figures are most important for our company?
– How should we organize controlling without incurring excessive costs?
– We need an intelligent reporting system – how can we implement this?
– Improving employee retention through “soft controlling” responsibility

Reporting philosophy

– Optimization of controlling processes through a professional controlling concept
(better quality of management information, reporting, analyses, communication)
– How can up-to-date management reporting be designed efficiently?
– Do you have any suggestions for improving our sales organization?

Strategy

– What are your recommendations for initiating a strategy process?
– What is the best way to introduce a balanced scorecard?
– Which key performance indicators (KPIs) are suitable for achieving strategic goals?
– Modern profitability analyses to support strategic decisions
(products, projects, customers, regions, etc.)
– How can we promote innovation more strongly?
– How can new product ideas be implemented? – R&D controlling

Processes

– Can you help us to reduce costs in our processes?
– How can a simple liquidity management system be set up?
– Are our processes reliable and effective, or can we improve them by reviewing the core processes?

IT support

– Can you support us with the introduction of a new ERP system to automate processes and workflows and make recommendations?
– Which IT projects should we implement to improve efficiency and transparency and prepare for future requirements?

Human Resources

– What organizational changes are needed to create a working environment that enables us to successfully exploit future opportunities?
– How can we use public media for our business?

Financial resources

– Working Capital Management
– How can we increase our company’s liquidity?

Our workload for each of these projects is around ten days, plus flight and travel costs. So it’s no small effort.
But it’s great to learn together and from each other. We’re a great team, we’ve become real friends, we also meet up privately when we’re traveling through Europe – and we live by our motto:

we come together,
we work together,
we learn from each other,
we develop together!
