Expert Work Group HR Controlling

Welcome to the ICV Expert Work Group HR Controlling
The HR Controlling Expert Work Group aims to sustainably strengthen the understanding and effectiveness of HR controlling as a strategic management tool within the company. The focus is on:
- the systematic classification of terms (e.g. HR controlling, HR analytics, strategic workforce planning, personnel cost planning),
- bridging the gap between HR and controlling through integrated management models, data structures, roles and organization,
- the further development from classic personnel controlling (cost monitoring) to proactive, forward-looking workforce management along the entire employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire),
- the use of practice-oriented tools such as an ICV maturity model (self-assessment), an ICV roadmap and concrete best practices and business cases.
Another key concern is for HR to develop a deeper understanding of the business impact of its measures – and for Controlling to recognize the strategic relevance of HR topics for corporate management and take active responsibility for them. Controlling should assume greater responsibility for shaping and managing the company.
