Optimizing Cost Management During the COVID-19 Crisis
The current coronavirus crisis poses a significant challenge for controllers and managers. This study, conducted in collaboration with four members of the International Group of Controlling (IGC), examines the role of cost management in the crisis.
A total of 402 companies took part in a standardized survey on cost efficiency. The results show that large companies in particular are using the crisis as an opportunity to further develop their cost management.
The study highlights modern tools such as activity-based costing, process benchmarking and robotic process automation (RPA) and provides insights into successful approaches to increasing cost efficiency during these challenging times.
This shows that a flexible cost structure and effective cost management can give companies a competitive edge.
