The Work Group Heilbronn-Künzelsau visits WITTENSTEIN SE
A look behind the scenes for the ICV Work Group Heilbronn-Künzelsau

The Work Group Heilbronn-Künzelsau of the ICV was able to hold its spring conference at the ICV corporate member WITTENSTEIN in Igersheim on May 8, 2026. Due to the attractiveness of the company, the number of participants was correspondingly high.
Stephan Schulze, Head of Corporate Controlling at the company, presented the WITTENSTEIN Group with its individual companies and business units. The participants were very impressed by the perfect organization and the global activities. Based on the business figures presented, the business model of WITTENSTEIN SE was perceived by the participants as very stable, crisis-proof and robust.
The group of visitors was given a tour of the gearbox assembly facility and the innovation factory. The innovation factory houses all relevant corporate functions of two strategic business units, including production, as well as special meeting rooms and product exhibits for customers. WITTENSTEIN has a large, technologically outstanding product range from high-precision servo gearboxes, drive systems for rotary and linear motion, highly dynamic servo motors and drive systems to nano-precision drive and measurement technology solutions and software for secure IT infrastructure management. The participants were more than impressed.
Like the entire WITTENSTEIN environment, production is very modern and digitally oriented. Among other things, a digital tool for store floor management is used in shift operation. The most important key figures are visualized.
WITTENSTEIN’s controlling is characterized by its corporate structure. The strategic business units are managed in a very target-oriented manner using key performance indicators. The WITTENSTEIN Group has an integrated, end-to-end controlling system that covers all locations in 46 countries around the world. From the BICC (Business Intelligence Competence Center) to risk management and financial planning, all the necessary tools are active.
Finally, Fritz Häussermann gave a presentation on “The future of controlling”. His conclusion: controlling is and will continue to be needed as a business partner in volatile times, because “demographic change and the upheavals in the global economy need very good, committed controllers!”, says working group leader Häussermann confidently.
The Work Group Heilbronn-Künzelsau would like to thank WITTENSTEIN for its willingness and openness.
