Controllers play a decisive role in shaping the transformation of their company. In the “Leading Sustainability” research project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the IPRI – International Performance Research Institute is investigating how the financial sector can become an enabler of effective sustainability strategies.

With this project, the IPRI aims to enable the finance department in small and medium-sized mechanical and plant engineering companies to develop, implement and manage successful sustainability strategies. By integrating sustainability into existing management processes and defining suitable key figures for measuring and managing sustainability targets, the aim is to promote a holistic, sustainable approach in SMEs in the mechanical and plant engineering sector.

In a scientific survey, the role of the finance department as an enabler of sustainability in the company is examined and internal sustainable management instruments (status quo & planning) are surveyed.
You can support the research project by taking part – it only takes about 10 minutes.
