Success factors for the use of AI in companies – survey results available at the CCS

How does the successful use of artificial intelligence (AI) in controlling and finance work?
Prof. Dr. Sven Henning from Kempten University of Applied Sciences has examined the key success factors for the implementation of AI in companies in his latest study (2025). He will present the results live at the 5th Controlling Competence Spaces (CCS) from November 11 to 13, 2025 – the digital ICV event for innovation and practice in controlling.

The survey conducted by Prof. Henning among management and controlling practitioners clearly shows this:

• high data quality and

• Clear organizational structures
  are crucial for the sustainable success of AI projects.

It also makes it clear that controlling itself plays a key role in the transformation process – as a driver of transparency, control and benefit assessment. The study is supplemented by a process and maturity model (PROGREDI-KI), which helps companies to systematically develop their own AI maturity.
