ICV General Meeting 2025: Looking back, new beginnings and new impetus

This year’s ICV General Meeting was characterized by a moving review, a clear course for the future and new energy. After detailed reports on the 2024 financial year and a motivating outlook for 2025, the members approved the actions of the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees and the auditors and elected the new committees as scheduled.

Claudia Maron, Matthias von Daacke and Markus Steiner were unanimously confirmed as members of the Executive Board. A special moment in the history of the association: Claudia Maron is the first woman to take on the position of Vice-Chairwoman. Matthias von Daacke, who previously held this position, is now taking over the chairmanship and will lead the ICV with a great deal of passion and experience.

The newly elected board members Pia Burkarth, Prof. Dr. Christoph Eisl and Guido Kleinhietpaß bring a breath of fresh air, complementing the team with innovative ideas and great passion for the further development of the association. Together with Managing Director Carmen Zillmer, the new Board represents a balanced mix of experience, innovation and team spirit.

The Board of Trustees was also successfully reorganized for the term of office from 2025 to 2028. Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer (Chair), Pauline Seidermann, Jens Bieniek, Dr. Jörg Engelbergs, Prof. Dr. Christoph Binder, Prof. Dr. Detlev Zillmer, Dr. Hendrik Vater, Dr. Peter Petrin and Christina Keindorf were re-elected. Matthias Dannenberg, Dr. Katrin Krömer and Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler are new members who will contribute their diverse experience and new ideas to the work of the Board of Trustees.

The meeting was followed by a joint celebration. Members and guests of honor came together to celebrate 50 years of ICV – characterized by a passion for controlling, community and innovation. The evening began in a relaxed atmosphere with aperitifs and finger food, accompanied by warm encounters and moving moments in which the Management Board honored long-standing members and brought the Association’s eventful history to life.

A festive buffet, inspiring speeches, an impressive light art show and numerous personal conversations turned the evening into a special journey through memories and new inspiration for the years to come. The event gave all participants plenty of reason to celebrate – a worthy start to the next 50 years of the ICV.
