Congress of Controllers: CFOs provide insights

Leadership in uncertain times

The Congress of Controllers is one of the most important specialist meetings of the finance and controlling community in Europe. On April 27/28, 2026, leading minds from business and science will come together in Munich to discuss the latest controlling topics.
This year’s keynote speeches by CFOs, who will share exclusive insights into everyday challenges in corporate management on stage, will be particularly exciting. Based on hot topics such as finance transformation, AI and economic uncertainty, they will provide important insights into how management can work today.

Uta Anders, CFO Krones AG (9:15), will kick off Day 1 with her view on the topic of capital market communication in times of uncertainty. Axel Wachholz, CFO Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co KG (10:15) will then use concrete “Controlling Practices” to show which management approaches have proven themselves from the CFO’s point of view and where there is still room for optimization. Jan Zimpelmann (15:15) will look at the use of AI in day-to-day controlling at the Dr. Beckmann Group.

On day 2, Andreas Aschenbrücker, CFO TRUMPF Machine Tools (9:10), will share important insights on business center management in a global context. Participants will learn how TRUMPF has shaped its finance transformation over ten years and is now successfully using global value chains and sales management based on group contribution margins.

The exchange also continues away from the stage: many of the speakers are on site and get involved in the discussions during the networking breaks. This leads to in-depth discussions, new food for thought and valuable contacts – exactly what makes the Congress of Controllers so special every year.
