Welcome to the ICV Expert Work Group Digital Controlling Competence (DCC)
Digitalization is fundamentally changing controlling and finance. The Work Group with a specialist focus on Digital Controlling Competence (DCC) supports controllers and CFOs in developing digital skills and offers practical recommendations for action as well as access to modern methods and technologies. The focus is on the areas of technology & analysis as well as communication & collaboration in order to optimally prepare professionals for the requirements of the future.

The digital transformation is opening up completely new possibilities in terms of data availability, process optimization and analysis (e.g. business analytics). Controllers are faced with the challenge of recognizing this potential and using it efficiently – not by programming themselves, but by using modern technologies profitably.
In the Work Group with a specialist focus on Digital Controlling Competence, you will take a look behind the scenes of leading companies together with other participants. Successfully implemented digitalization projects from various industries show how technological innovations can be implemented sustainably. A network of academics and practitioners ensures a sound transfer of knowledge.
- Meetings: The Work Group meets 2-3 times a year for four hours each.
- Variety of topics: Successful projects, best practices and new findings are published in articles, presentations and videos.
- Innovative formats: Our events take place online in the ICV Metaverse, the icv/spaces – an interactive experience that comes very close to a personal exchange. There are also webinars and occasional face-to-face meetings.
- Exclusive and interactive: Participation is limited to experts from controlling and finance who wish to actively participate in discussions.
The Work Group is aimed at CFOs, controllers of medium-sized and large companies as well as anyone who would like to become active in the field of digitalization in controlling. Interested ICV members can register via the member portal. Non-members are welcome to take part in a taster session.
