ICV Live Webinar: Controlling in the age of New Work

Realignment of tasks, roles and working methods

The world of work is undergoing profound change, which is also shaking up the established controlling paradigms. All controlling processes must be subjected to a fundamental review in order to survive in the face of change. The New Work principles bring with them new approaches, challenges and potential – also for controlling. But what does the new working world in controlling look like? What role do New Work principles play in this? And how do we shape this new working world?

The ICV Think Tank team dealt with these questions in detail. The ICV Think Tank addresses trending topics in controlling every year in order to show future paths for controlling. Under the direction of Prof. Ronald Gleich and Stefan Tobias and the coordination of Dr. Kim L. Dillenberger it recently worked on the future topic of New Work in controlling in a team of experts from science and practice. The knowledge collected flows annually into the so-called Dream Car Report, a practical guide that is intended to provide orientation when dealing with the respective trend topic.

In this webinar we share the key findings from the latest Dream Car Report: We draw a picture of the future of controlling and present a process model for realigning controlling. We answer the following questions regarding the realignment in controlling:

  • Why? Check the influence of New Work on your own understanding of controlling
  • What? Renew task and role design for sustainable controlling
  • How? Design changes in the way you work in your own controlling department
