Operational financial planning and budgeting with elements such as cost center planning and standard cost calculation is a standard process in many companies and is often characterized by a lot of effort.

Prof. Dr. Karsten Oehler

Prof. Dr. Karsten Oehler is Chief Solution Advisor at SAP in Eschborn. He has been a consultant for controlling software for leading providers for over 30 years. Karsten Oehler has published several books and more than 180 specialist articles on topics related to IT support for management and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars. He is also a professor of controlling at the Provadis University in Frankfurt.

Michael Kappes

Michael Kappes is a partner at the management consultancy Horváth and has more than 15 years of experience in advising well-known companies from various industries. His focus is on the further development of controlling and management processes, in particular on the development and implementation of planning and forecasting models for integrated, cross-departmental management. Over the last 10 years, he has had a significant influence on trends such as frontloading, driver-based management, and digital and autonomous planning. He also heads the largest German-language conference on planning, budgeting, and forecasting and is co-editor of the standard work "Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting," on which he has also published numerous specialist articles.
