| | Controlling around the world – Inhouse training in Bangkok | | | After the training in Chicago last summer, the Knauf Group is taking the next step towards a worldwide common understanding of controlling within the company together with Danny Szajnowicz, partner and trainer of the CA controller akademie. Nineteen employees took part in Stage I in Bangkok. The participants intensified their controlling knowledge and got an overview of the most important components of modern controlling. The highlight was the team event, in addition to the controlling content, of course. | | | | | | Topic Clusters at the 47th Congress of Controllers | | | Cost and price management in the stagflation environment, successful sustainability controlling in practice, planning - farewell to old habits? - these three topic clusters take up current challenges and tasks of controlling at the 47th Congress of Controllers in Munich. Traditionally, these take place in parallel on the afternoon of the first day of the event, moderated by ICV Board Members. | | | | | | ICV International Work Group – a meeting at YORK in Poznan | | | For three years the members of the English-speaking International Work Group only met via zoom because of corona in 2020 and 2021 and the Russian attack on Ukraine in 2022. Finally on Friday, March 31, the group was at YORK - a family business that won the tender. Together with eight colleagues from YORK, the members of the WG set themselves the task of producing ideas and possible solutions which, after their visit to Poznan, are then to be further processed or implemented by YORK employees from the end of the year. | | | | | | Cost and price increases, inflation and stagflation – challenges for controlling | | | The problem with stagflation is that there is no adequate antidote. Measures would have to strengthen growth and curb inflation at the same time - an offer that politicians and central banks do not have up their sleeves. If, as is currently the case, there is a lack of material, skilled workers and affordable energy, state-initiated demand programs come to nothing. If the state supports demand, this drives up inflation. If the central bank raises interest rates, this dampens demand and thus prices, while also weakening growth. An economic dilemma that also poses enormous challenges for controlling. That’s why it’s one of the ICV topics of the year. | | | | | | | | | | ICV Controlling Excellence Award 2023 – the nominees have been chosen | | | The ICV Controlling Excellence Award is traditionally presented at the Congress of Controllers – and this year too. On May 15/16 representatives of three companies will be on the stage in Munich as nominees. Who will win? Henkel AG & Co. KGaA for the “Digital Roadmap for Group Financial Controlling” project, Merck KGAG for the project “Enabling High-Impact Culture in Financial Steering” or TX Group AG for the project “Predictive Forecasting at TX Group AG. From Concept to Strategic Impact”? | | | | | | ICV Health Care Conference Switzerland with expert for process mining | | | ICV Switzerland is looking forward to the ICV Health Care Conference on April 20 – conference language is German. This process must be designed accordingly and supported by controlling.
