| The “Financial Management” conference was held in the crowded lobby of the Westin Hotel in Zagreb on May 22. One of the speakers was Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, Chairman of the ICV and the IGC. Other speakers sharing their experiences from practice were Ivana Gažić, Tomislav Rosandic, Krešimir Jurun, Sandra Uzelac, Nenad Bakic, Jasna Turkovic, Edin Leho, Ozren Hudin, Marko Bolanča and Tomislav Mališ. |

| The ACCID Congress in cooperation with the ICV „New times, new opportunities” was held on June 6/7, 2019 at the IQS School of Management. The agenda included different conferences with different topics and simultaneous work sessions. Axel Ehberger, Head of the ICV work group Spain, welcomed as international speakers from the ICV Frank Ahlrichs, Head of the ICV Expert Work Group Controlling and Quality, and Rainer Pollmann, Deputy Head of the ICV Expert Work Group Communication Controlling. |

| On May 27-28 the 13th Controlling Intelligence Adventure in Warsaw, Poland took place. After Dr. Tomasz M. Zieliński presented the philosophy and initiatives of the ICV and gave some insights into the new role of controllers, two keynote speeches followed. First was by Matthias von Daacke, Vice Chairman of the ICV and Director of Controlling at BLANCO Group, entitled „Prepare for YOUR future”. Second, „Ready to accept ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AS A COLLEAGUE?”, was by Ralph Treitz, Managing Director w Deloitte Digital. |

| One of the highlights of the 13th International Controller Congress in Warsaw, Poland, was a discussion panel with Polish and international guests. The discussion was focused on the topic “Challenges of controlling 4.0 in digital business models”, on two areas: on two areas: How to use systems supporting Big Data processing for controlling applications? To what extent does being a Business Partner in the digital world also mean being a Data Scientist? |

| Jens Bieniek (54), CFO of BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. KG, Bremen, has been elected by the ICV General Meeting as a new member of the ICV Board of Trustees. He succeeds Hillert Onnen. At the General Meeting the ICV Chairman Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler thanked Hillert Onnen for his many years of commitment and warmly welcomed Jens Bienik. |

| Two hours by rail south of Moscow, Tula was the venue of the 9th International Controlling Congress of the Russian Controller Association on May 17. The ICV has worked closely with this organization for many years. The speakers came mostly from large Russian banks and energy companies. The ICV was represented by: the Head of the ICV work group Zurich-East Switzerland, Prof. Dr. Wilfried Lux, with a speech on digitization in Switzerland, and the Head of the ICV Communications Team, Hans-Peter Sander, who reportred on news from the ICV. |
