So does the duo Martina Sandrock and Prof. Gernot Schulz. She is an entrepreneur with an impressive business vita, he is a conductor with no less imposing musical vita. Together they speak at the Congress of Controllers on the topic of “controlling and conducting”. In the run-up to the event we asked both of them questions on their presentation. | | On May 13, the “ICV Controlling Excellence Award 2019” will be presented in Munich at the Europe’s leading controlling conference. Three candidates were nominated for the award ceremony at the 44th Congress of Controllers in Munich: Metro AG with the solution “Brand Data Excellence – A global solution for business and finance”, the Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft in Munich (“Munich Re”) with” Digitization and automation of the financial sector supported by a virtual data platform (Digital Finance Platform)” and Unitymedia GmbH with: “Value Steering Roadmap, Establishment of a value-oriented management at Unitymedia”. | | The Annual General Meeting of the International Controller Association (ICV) will take place on May 12, 2019, at 5.30 pm, at the Westin Grand Hotel, Munich. The invitations were sent by e-mail, as well as to members of whom there is no e-mail address by post. Members who have not received an invitation should contact the ICV office. The agenda, attachments and registration form / voting right are available online. The clearance of accounts for the association year 2018, as well as the budget 2019 will be deposited in the members area on April 23, 2019 on the web page / general meeting 2019. |

| | The Health Care Conference Switzerland – GTS 2019 on March 28 in Zurich was a very successful restart of this event after several years of interruption. Organized by ICV together with the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ), more than 70 guests experienced a professional conference with first-class speakers. |

| | The ICV has presented itself once again to the public. In the publishing house of the “Mittelbayerische Zeitung” in Regensburg this year’s Forum Controlling of the “Wirtschaftszeitung” took place with more than 80 participants; meanwhile, the third joint Forum of the ICV and the WZ.
