| | The "Ideenwerkstatt" is the Think Tank of the International Association of Controllers (ICV). The Ideenwerkstatt's current thematic focal point is “Controlling of Start-Ups and Start-Up Initiatives”.The ICV experts keep informing the community about latest work results in its free publication series “NEWS Think Tank | Quarterly”. The new issue focuses on established companies to show how they can manage their innovation with the help of start-up initiatives. These include, for example, innovation labs, accelerators, incubators, hubs and corporate venture capital initiatives. The characteristics and differences between these alternatives are in the foreground. In addition, the “Quarterly” informs about the bestowal of the Green Controlling Award 2018. | |

| | On September 14 a new ICV Work Group in Serbia was established. Its name is WG Novi Sad and the leader is Prof. Dr. Veselin Perović, BsC. in Economy, Controlling instructor University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. More than 40 participants took part at the event of establishment. Dragica Erčulj, ICV's regional delegate took part and reported. |

| | With the AppHouse of SAP in Berlin-Mitte, the initial meeting of the ICV expert work group “Future of Work” on October 26 had the right space – in the middle of the Berlin start-up scene. This creativity-enhancing environment contributed to a successful start of the new expert work group. |

| | At the 44th Controller Congress on May 13-14, 2019 the ICV Controlling Excellence Award will be given. The price awards the exemplary controlling work in companies and other organizations. | | The 6th International Conference on Controlling (ICCC 2018) was held on November 15 in Zagreb and gathered more than 200 participants from the entire region. It was for sure the largest gathering on controlling in 2018 in Croatia, organized by consulting company Kontroling Kognosko and business magazine Lider. The International Association of Controllers was the partner of the event. |
