Hello,
all ICV members and those who read the German Controller Magazin received or will receive at the next ICV meeting the new issue of the English Special „Controlling International“. It’s published as a supplement of Controller Magazin, but is sent also to ICV country delegates to distribute among members and guests.
With texts form 11 countries we show the international actions of the ICV that contribute to the success of the members and their companies. Many thanks to all authors!

October 20th: Adriatic Controlling Conference, Slovenia |
|
Dragica Erčulj (photo), ICV regional delegate and ICV working group leader Slovenia, invites everyone to participate in the annual Adriatic Controller Conference. For the 15th time experts from Slovenia and abroad (among them Karl-Heinz Steinke, ICV Board Member) share their knowledge and experience with the guests. The event takes place on October 20, 2015, in Austria Trend Hotel, Ljubljana. Top quality expertise, excellent speakers and perfect organization are the reasons that every year convince controllers, managers and financiers to save the date and enter into diary a note must go!

November 5th: International Controlling Conference in Croatia |
|
For the 3rd time, annual International Controlling Conference in Croatia (November 05, 2015, Westin hotel, Zagreb) invites controllers and managers from Croatia and the whole region to join and participate. This year’s conference focuses on the topic: CONTROLLING AS A BUSINESS PARTNER. The conference is organized by the controlling consultancy Kognosko and by the leader of the Croatian ICV work group (International Controller Verein) Jasmina Očko (photo), and the publishing house Lider. This means that the conference is given much media attention, and is written about extensively in Lider.

| WORK GROUP LEADERS MEET IN FRANKFURT IN NOVEMBER |

40 years of the ICV celebrated among the WG leaders from all ICV countries |
|
All ICV WG leaders are invited to take part in the international ICV Management Conference. It will take place on Saturday, November 28th, 2015 at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel at Frankfurt/Main Airport. The course of events is as it was during the last meeting two years ago. We start on Saturday morning at 10:00 am and are in session until approx. 6:00 pm, the evening is dedicated to the informal exchange of experiences at a joint dinner (this year with the celebration of our 40th anniversary). The meeting ends with breakfast on Sunday morning without any further program. There will be a German - English or an English - German simultaneous translation provided. The invitation is valid for the work group leader or for his/her
official deputy.

By the end of the year we would like to have at least 120 corporate members. So far we could recently welcome Atlas Ward Polska Sp. z o.o. from Wrocław, Poland, specialists at building production halls, magazines, sport halls and ware houses, and Swiss insurance company Helsana Versicherungen AG. We have now 108 corporate memberships. For the first time, in August we carried out an exclusive action for our corporate members and raffled valuable session tickets.

| HIGHEST SALARIES FOR EUROPEAN FINANCE GRADUATES |

France and United Kingdom have leading universities in the finance area |
|
London and Paris business schools dominate the rankings with seven institutions each – the graduates from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), London Business School and Ecole Centrale Paris earn most from all graduates working now in the finance, says the research conducted by Emolument. The survey was based on the salary of 700 finance workers in London who graduated after 2011, and excludes MBAs. French engineering schools at the top of the rankings (Polytechnique and Centrale) shows that financial institutions value highly-skilled scientific profiles and not only economics and finance.

| NEW COOPERATION IN THE AREA OF INDUSTRIE 4.0 |

Basic research for Industrie 4.0 in a joint project |
|
The TRUMPF company, world leader in machine tools for flexible sheet metal processing and industrial lasers, is embarking on a five-year strategic joint venture with the Stuttgart-based Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA. The aim of this long-term cooperation is to integrate current research findings from Industrie 4.0 into sheet metal processing. In the so-called “TRUMPF LAB,” employees of TRUMPF and Fraunhofer IPA will be working together to develop innovative solutions for the manufacturing technology of the future. The cooperation will include many aspects of the factory of the future, with the initial projects focusing on “intralogistics”, “the service-oriented machine” and “self-governing production.” The aim is for content to evolve during the course of the join

Businesses are struggling with speed of technological change |
|
The annual World Quality Report, published in conjunction by Capgemini with HP, examines the state of application quality and testing practices across multiple industries and geographies. The report this year found that organizations are placing more importance on quality assurance and testing due to the speed of digital transformation, which is increasing the number of new applications that are shaking up their business operations. The speed of this digital transformation within organizations has been identified as a clear hurdle, with 55% of organizations identifying ‘application functionality changing too quickly’ as their biggest challenge.
