Interview: Kira Kardel, Head of AK Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.<\/h2> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
\n

Kira Kardel, Head of the Private Sector Division at linkFISH Consulting, is the new Head of the Work Group Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.<\/p>\n

In this interview, she reveals more about her involvement in the ICV and her future plans for the Work Group.<\/p>\n

Could you please introduce yourself briefly?<\/strong>
\nK. Kardel:
\n<\/strong>During my dual study program at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), I had the opportunity to get to know many different areas of the company. I was always particularly fascinated by the connection of business processes with data and information. After completing my business studies, this led me to work in controlling at the Container Terminal Burchardkai.<\/p>\n

Following my master degree in Digital Logistics and Management, I joined linkFISH Consulting as a BI and data platform consultant and developer. In my role as Senior BI Consultant, I design and develop tool-supported reporting and planning solutions together with our clients. I have recently broadened my professional focus once again and am looking forward to actively developing the private sector division and the linkFISH team in my management role in addition to my controlling topics.<\/p>\n

How did you come to the ICV?<\/strong>
\nK. Kardel:
\n<\/span><\/strong>My first points of contact <\/span>with the ICV was during my time at the<\/span>of their studies. Those who write their theses <\/span>in the field of controlling will inevitably come across <\/span>inevitably comes across ICV publications <\/span>and the controlling mission statement. <\/span>When I started working as a BI consultant <\/span>I became a member of the ICV and particularly appreciate <\/span>the diverse range of regional, expert and sector work groups<\/span>, such as the ICV Women’s Ne<\/span>twork.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why are you involved in this Association?
\n<\/strong> K.<\/span>Kardel:
\n<\/span>I moved to the Baltic Sea for love – my new adopted home is Rostock. Volunteering has always been important to me, so I wanted a new challenge. So when they were looking for a new Head of the Work Group Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, I applied. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with other people interested in controlling and finance at regional events, networking and actively shaping the professional dialog on site.<\/p>\n

What about the WG MV?<\/strong>
\nK. Kardel:<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The Work Group is in a phase of new beginnings. There have been no active meetings in recent years. Together with the ICV office, we are working on waking it up from its “hibernation” and getting people interested in participating again.<\/p>\n

What tasks are on the agenda, what are you planning first\/next?
\nK.<\/span>Kardel:
\n<\/span><\/strong>After completing the formal steps of my appointment as Head of the Work Group, the next task is to organize the first meeting of the Work Group Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A face-to-face meeting is planned for March or May in Rostock. For this kick-off meeting, the Ostsee-Zeitung in Rostock, among others, has offered to provide insights into their company as well as circulation and revenue planning.<\/p>\n

Please tell us a little more about yourself.<\/strong>
\nK. Kardel:
\n<\/span><\/strong>Even before I moved here, I appreciated Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is rich in water, for its impressive nature. What could be better than spending the evening on the Baltic Sea beach or paddling a kayak along the Warnow? Even though water hiking is currently on the back burner with a small child, I spend a lot of my free time outdoors. Whether running, hiking, cross-country skiing or cycling – now mostly with a trailer or slightly larger luggage. I look forward to the professional exchange and to getting to know regional companies in M-V.
