Expert Work Group Controlling and Risk Management

Welcome to the ICV Expert Work Group Controlling & Risk Management
The Work Group with a technical focus on controlling and risk management was founded in July 2008 on the initiative of the International Controller Association (ICV) and the Risk Management Association e.V. (RMA) in Munich. Since then, our joint working group has been dedicated to the challenges and opportunities arising from the practical implementation of controlling and risk management in companies. In doing so, we look at legal norms, established standards and the interfaces that link the two disciplines.
- Become part of our expert group and contribute your perspectives, experience and ideas.
- Together, we can actively shape the further development of controlling and risk management.
We bring together practitioners, consulting specialists and academics to develop a 360-degree perspective on controlling and risk management. We deal with:
- Exchange of experience and best practices
- Development of a uniform database as a basis for harmonizing both disciplines
- Tools and procedures for evaluation and analysis
- Interface problems and redundancies
- Organizational structures and responsibilities of controllers and risk managers
- Reporting and communication
- Norms and standards (e.g. HGB, IFRS, GAAP, SOX)
- Clarification and standardization of basic terms
We know that there is a wide range of topics and that only some of the relevant issues can be discussed at any one time. We therefore invite all interested members of the ICV and the RMA to participate in our work.
Whether you attend our conferences, participate in subgroups or share your questions and opinions on the topics of “Risk and Opportunity Management” and “Controlling” – your input is valuable to us!
